Inflatable friends:-) I was researching Japan as I fancy a jolly over there pretty soon - look what cropped up..



They are quite life like really - your own chucky doll.. perfect virtual relations at last... hyper-reality reaches a new level of physicality...

This is one I made earlier - a Russian version :-)

I bought some new shoes - bright, bouncing, orange ones.



They're great! I look down and wiggle my toes and feel good. People look down at my toes and either grin or growl - even greater than great. Thinking - happy feet carry happy body, right? A frienmd bought some pink ones (girly git) but you should have seen him making shapes on the dance floors last week.. it was poetry in motion. Ok I am exaggerating a bit, but he did stay on his feet for most of the evening, which I can only put down to the benefits of wearing pink shoes.

Get out today and think rude shoes...

While I am engaging an active brain cell, is it only me (God I hope I am not alone), but who is the sock thief? My socks seem to vanish into a parrallel universe every month! To alleviate this problem I have taken to purchasing only black socks. Now, I've conscientously stuck them together in nice little balls, washed them in marked lines of identity. Things were fine, but now, suddenly, today I am three socks down. The sock thief has em...

Spring seems to have finally arrived - abruptly in a wake of floods and sludge, but by all accounts, it's here and the world is being annihilated in it's warming hands

Spring is my favourite season.



Yesterday, I found myself engaged in a disussion on nihilism. I've been referred to as having a nihilistic nature and would say I qualify by default. We live in a world of labels and false assertions, so let's say "yes!" I have nihilistic tendencies, but can't be purely nihilistic in nature as I don't really care for much, but that would bring me closer to solipsism.. and ego... and... and.... well, yes.. time for that Jack Daniels and a lap dance..

More interesting is that famous nihilists such as Warhol, Machiavelli, and on the Russian side Mikhail Bakunin, Sergey Nachaev, and not forgetting the Sex Pistols and Mr David lynch have all simulated nihilistic tendencies which led to absolutely nothing: perfect! So many others - you could even throw Budha and king Solomon into the equation.

Interesting:

In Russia, nihilism became identified with a loosely organized revolutionary movement (C.1860-1917) that rejected the authority of the state, church, and family. ... The movement advocated a social arrangement based on rationalism and materialism as the sole source of knowledge and individual freedom as the highest goal. But how much materialsm comes into this?




It's a beautiful world.. especially when it's all falling down.
