Ouch!!

Actual Scores

An interesting set of results as I thought, only because all focus is on the bottom of the table with everyone thinking who will survive.

Everton 1 Birmingham 1(Everton on course for champions league place)
Chelsea 3 Fulham 1(Its only a matter of days now for Chelsea)
Aston Villa 1 Bolton 1(Both with very little to play for)
Blackburn 0 Man City 0(Again mid table for both)
Crystal Palace 0 Liverpool 1(massive win for palace)
Middlesboro 4 West Brom 0(blow to baggies survival hopes)
Norwich 1 Charlton 0(useless Charlton)
Portsmouth 4 Southampton 1(pathetic Southampton)
Man United 2 Newcastle 1(great entertainment)
Arsenal 1 Tottenham 0(Arsenal did enough)

So three games to go in this years Premiership, as I have said we all know who the champions are but do we know who will be waving good bye and saying hello to the Championship.
All will be revealed in the next three weeks………….

Getting Closer

Predictions

Not long to go now and all eyes are on the bottom as the top is not interesting anymore.
After the mid week games there is only a point between the bottom four and they are all convinced that theirs is not the team that will be relegated.

Everton 2 Birmingham 0
Chelsea 2 Fulham 0
Aston Villa 1 Bolton 2
Blackburn 1 Man City 1
Crystal Palace 1 Liverpool 2
Middlesboro 0 West Brom 0
Norwich 0 Charlton 1
Portsmouth 0 Southampton 2
Man United 2 Newcastle 1
Arsenal 2 Tottenham 1

All eyes are also on Chelsea and Liverpool as they prepare to play each other next week in the Champions League semi-final first round… tough one to call but I think that Chelsea will do Liverpool over the two legs.

Nervous

Football Predictions

Even though that it seems that the title race is all but over all the fun seems to be happening at the bottom where I think it will go to the final day to decide who stays up and who goes down.

If...like me your team is down there every result now is so important, and with six games to go I am starting to get a little nervous…

The English Premiership

Charlton 0 Bolton 1 (away win)
Crystal Palace 2 Norwich 0 (home win)
Fulham 0 Manchester City 2 (away win)
Liverpool 1 Tottenham 1 (draw)
Southampton 1 Aston Villa 0 (home win)
Birmingham 2 Portsmouth 1 (home win)

F.A. Cup Semi Final

Arsenal 1 Blackburn 0
Manchester United 2 Newcastle 1

Well done to Chelsea and Liverpool in Europe…and not forgetting CSKA Moscow.

Results

The English Premiership

So…I got most of them wrong…there’s a surprise…

But I did get two right, so that’s two beers…but the other results were nearly ok I did get the winning team right if however by the wrong goal difference.
The other games well, shocking (I blame the players) the real results were:

Fulham 3 Portsmouth 1 (thought this would be closer)
West Brom 1 Everton 0 (shocking for Everton)
Liverpool 1 Bolton 0 (as predicted)
Chelsea 3 Southampton 1 (easy win for Chelsea)
Man United 0 Blackburn 0 (surprise)
Charlton 2 Man City 2 (predicted a draw)
Arsenal 4 Norwich 1 (did not expect Norwich to score)
Birmingham 1 Tottenham 1 (as predicted)
Newcastle 0 Villa 3 (good win for Villa)
Crystal Palace 0 Middlesboro 1 (predicted Boro win)

Fantastic Entertainment at St James Park where Newcastle players Lee Bowyer and Kieran Dyer had a proper fight, simply because Dyer did not pass the ball to Bowyer the result being both sent off.
(hand-bags at the ready)

It looks like that they will both be banned for the semi final FA cup game against Manchester United…

This weekends predictions on Friday…

Foot ball Predictions

Russian Football

“How can a country of 150 million people draw 1-1 with a country that has only 300 thousand..?”

That was the comment from a Russian friend of mine on Thursday morning after the Russian National team drew 1-1 with (mighty) Estonia. (He was a little pissed off)
Russian people are so patriotic when it comes to supporting the national team however many have understood that the team will never live up to the high expectations of the Russian public, So I did not mention that England were victorious in their game with Azerbaijan.
“Come on England”

The English Premiership

After the week of internationals its business as usual this weekend for the Premiership…

My Predictions are perhaps a little hopeful:

Charlton 1 Manchester City 1
Arsenal 3 Norwich 0
Birmingham 1 Tottenham 1
Crystal Palace 1 Middlesboro 2
Liverpool 1 Bolton 0
Manchester United 4 Blackburn 1
Newcastle 2 Aston Villa 0
Southampton 1 Chelsea 1
Fulham 0 Portsmouth 0
West Bromich Albion 0 Everton 2

D, will you buy me a beer for each one of these that’s right..?
